Our history
The 2003 Paradise Fire changed my life and inspired me to start Acre Attack.
Growing up on a farm in Valley Center, California, and as the son of a firefighter, I learned early that fire prevention saves lives. Our property was surrounded by heavy brush, but my family stayed committed to maintaining defensible space with at least 50 to 100 feet of clearance around our home.
When the Paradise Fire swept through in October 2003, it turned the landscape into ash. Thanks to our fire prevention efforts, our farm was spared while many of our neighbors lost everything.
That experience showed me the value of preparation. It's why I started Acre Attack to help homeowners protect their homes, reduce wildfire fuel, and educate others on the importance of defensible space before it's too late.
